The founding team
Founded by Sri Lanka’s Only Charted Automobile Engineer Mr. Ravith Silva, with experience in working for the likes of Daimler Chrysler and McLaren, in fields of Research, Design, process control and manufacturing. Most notably, the “Super Car Joined Project named - Mercedes Benz McLaren SLR”. He also possesses, stringent quality standards that conforms to Nuclear, Pharma and off-shore oil rigs as per his previous employment as a Project Engineer at Delta Controls, UK which designs and manufactures instrumentation that conforms to the world’s highest ATEX, ISO, IP etc standards.
Furthermore, Mr. Silva was groomed from his early childhood by one of Sri Lanka’s most Senior and longest serving Engineer in the Automobile Industry, which has provided a high level of business and Engineering intelligence along with his employment in the business which was incorporated in 1987. Mr. Silva was instilled as a member of the Advisory Council on “Domestically Assembled vehicles” and “Domestically Manufactured Components” which compiled the SOP to regulate the Automobile Industry, that was subsiquently launched by the Ministry of Industries (Sri Lanka) in 2021.
The founding team is also inclusive of vibrant Industrialists; one of them Mr. M Sabri Waheed, whom was the front running founder Director of Sri Lanka’s 2nd motor vehicle assembly company. He is also well experienced in the legislative process as he was the influential director that handled the state approvals and all governance processes to obtain the licensees and approvals to function as a production facility.
As with most Companies of such magnitude, a Seasoned and multidimensional element is paramount, hence Mr. M F M Kaleel a business tycoon in Sri Lanka, instills business acumen in the manufacturing realm. As he boasts a consortium of companies that already is part of the General Automobile Component Supply Chain in Sri Lanka and is a highly disciplined and a visionary business leader.
Finally Mr. Eranga Rodrigo, a second generation industrialist who has transformed the manufacturing business from a supplier of components to mass production and assembling of more than 100 products. He is a leading materials and production specialist whom is a great binder to have in a business such as KEWR.
